How long does it take to set up Appointly?

Most Indian salons go live the same day. Setup involves adding your services with prices and durations, setting opening hours, choosing your parallel-booking capacity, and sharing your booking link. If you already know your services and hours, this typically takes 20–40 minutes.

Can customers reschedule their own appointments?

Yes. Every WhatsApp confirmation includes a manage link. Customers open the link and pick a new time from your available slots — they do not need to call or message the salon.

Can salons block holidays and closed days?

Yes. You can set weekly opening hours and mark specific dates as closed (festivals, staff leave, private events). Those dates disappear from the booking page and no customer can book them.

Can multiple appointments happen at the same time?

Yes. Appointly uses a capacity setting on a single shared calendar. If your capacity is 3, three appointments can run in parallel in the same slot. Once the slot is full, it disappears from the booking page automatically.

Can customers choose a specific staff member?

Not currently. Appointly runs on one shared salon calendar with a capacity setting. Per-stylist calendars and stylist selection at booking are not supported today.

Does Appointly send WhatsApp reminders?

Yes. Appointly automatically sends a WhatsApp reminder 24 hours before the appointment. Confirmations are sent instantly when the booking is made. Both messages come from Appointly's verified WhatsApp Business sender — you do not need your own WhatsApp Business API.

Does Appointly support walk-ins or a waitlist?

Not currently. Appointly is designed for scheduled bookings. Walk-in queues and waitlists are not part of the product today.

Does Appointly support POS, GST invoicing or billing?

Not currently. Appointly is focused on appointments — online booking, WhatsApp confirmations, 24-hour reminders and the shared calendar. POS, GST invoices, inventory and packages are not part of the product today.

Do customers need to download an app to book?

No. Customers book from your salon's booking link in any phone browser. There is no app to install and no account to create. Owners have an Android app for managing the calendar and receiving booking alerts.

Does Appointly integrate with Instagram or Google Business Profile?

Appointly gives you a shareable booking link and QR code you can add to your Instagram bio, Google Business Profile short-name link, WhatsApp status or website. There is no direct API integration — you paste the link where you want it to appear.
