Definition

A salon calendar is the single view every staff member uses to see today's and tomorrow's appointments. In a small salon it replaces a paper diary; in a larger salon it replaces multiple staff-specific notebooks.

Why it matters

A shared calendar prevents double bookings, makes handovers safe, and gives the owner a real-time picture of utilisation without walking to the reception.

Common misconceptions

Common claimReality
A shared calendar means per-staff scheduling.Appointly's shared calendar is one calendar for the salon. Per-staff scheduling with individual availability and calendar isolation is not currently supported.

How Appointly handles this

Appointly's shared calendar shows every booking in one place with automatic capacity limits and opening-hour enforcement.

FAQ

Can each stylist have their own calendar?

Not today. Appointly uses a shared salon calendar with parallel capacity — see the capacity-booking entry for how this works in a small salon.
