Definition

A booking confirmation is the receipt of a scheduled appointment. It closes the loop for the customer — they know the salon received the request, the slot is held, and what was booked — and reduces duplicate DMs asking 'did you get my booking?'.

Why it matters

Confirmations remove uncertainty. When the customer sees the slot in writing, they stop chasing and the salon stops fielding 'did it go through?' messages.

Common misconceptions

An SMS confirmation is fine.In India, WhatsApp read rates are meaningfully higher than SMS and customers reply on the same thread. Appointly uses WhatsApp for confirmations.

How Appointly handles this

Every booking triggers an immediate WhatsApp confirmation to the customer with service, staff (if selected), date and time.
