Definition
A WhatsApp reminder is delivered on the same channel the customer already uses daily. In India, that produces higher read rates than SMS and higher reply rates than email, and it keeps the customer's response in the same thread.
Why it matters
The channel is the customer's default communication surface. Reminders on WhatsApp get opened; reminders on SMS often don't.
