Definition
Online booking covers everything from a static form to a full booking page with real-time availability. What makes it 'online' is that no salon staff needs to be present or reply for the booking to be captured.
Why it matters
Online booking captures demand outside opening hours and during peak times when the phone is busy — the two windows small salons lose the most bookings in.
Common misconceptions
| Common claim | Reality |
|---|---|
| Online booking replaces WhatsApp. | In India, the two work together: bookings come in through the page, confirmations and reminders go out on WhatsApp. |
How Appointly handles this
Appointly is an online booking platform for Indian salons, purpose-built to pair with WhatsApp confirmations and reminders.
