Definition
Salon software is an umbrella term. In practice, it covers three areas: getting bookings (booking page, links, QR), running the day (calendar, hours, capacity), and communicating with customers (confirmations, reminders). Broader suites also include CRM, POS and inventory — those are not universally needed.
Why it matters
The right salon software matches your actual operation. A small independent salon usually needs bookings and reminders; a chain needs CRM, POS and reporting on top.
