Definition

Self-service rescheduling gives customers a link in the confirmation and reminder that opens their booking and shows the same availability the salon has. They pick a new slot; the calendar updates and the salon is notified.

Why it matters

Reschedule friction is one of the largest causes of no-shows. When customers can move themselves in 30 seconds, they do it — instead of skipping quietly.

Common misconceptions

Common claimReality
Letting customers reschedule causes chaos. The alternative is a no-show. A rescheduled appointment frees the original slot for someone else and preserves the customer relationship.

How Appointly handles this

Every Appointly confirmation and reminder includes a reschedule link the customer can use without contacting the salon.
